Dear Saanich Lacrosse families,

The Vancouver Island Lacrosse Commission is hosting the 2012 Female Lacrosse Nationals from July 29 – August 2 at Bear Mountain Arena. This is a joint effort with all associations on the Island helping to contribute. The tournament is for Bantam and Midget aged teams representing BC, Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia.

With the games quickly approaching, the host committee is looking for volunteers from all associations to assist with various volunteer activities. Shifts include the raffle table, 50/50 sales, hospitality room, time keeping, score keeping, clothing sales, and opening/closing ceremonies. Most shifts are during the day between 8:00am and 5:00pm and are 1.5 to 2 hours in length. There will be a volunteer raffle with a prize value of about $150. For each shift a volunteer does, their name is entered into the raffle for a chance to win the fabulous prize.

If you are able to assist this great lacrosse event with a couple hours of your time, please consider helping out. Many volunteers are needed to ensure everything goes smoothly for an event like this.
