Female Box Lacrosse Drop-in Sessions

Very excited to get things going for the upcoming Female Box Lacrosse Season. This will be the third season for our Victoria wide Female teams and we are expanding to add Junior (Born 1996-2000) and hopefully a girls only Tyke (2009-2010) team that will play in the boys league.

At this time we have some drop-in sessions planned so that new players can learn the basics and returning players can get ready to go back to the box. The idea behind these sessions is to offer a few options so that hopefully everyone can make it to a session. If you need to arrive a few minute late or want to leave early for the younger ones that is okay too.

Based on registrations to-date our numbers look good for the upcoming season, but we are always happy to have more girls come out and see if lacrosse is the right sport for them… so please feel free to invite a friend to come along to any of these sessions. For any players that aren’t registered yet we will need to have a waiver signed by their parent (which we will have on hand or I can e-mail you one in advance if the parent won’t be attending). We will also have extra sticks if needed.

Thursday, February 9 (7-9) at David Cameron Gym

Monday, February 27 (6:30-8:30) at Tsawout Gym

BANTAM, MIDGET, JUNIOR

  • Thursday, February 16 (7-9) at David Cameron Gym
  • Monday, February 20 (6:30-8:30) at Tsawout Gym
  • Monday, March 6 (6:30-8:30) at Tsawout Gym

REMINDER – Wear runners, helmets (other gear optional)… and bring a water bottle.

Instructions to David Cameron Gym:

If you are coming from Costco you can’t turn left on to Meaford so you need to…..

  • Follow veterans memorial to Kelly Rd
  • Left on Kelly Rd,
  • Left onto Pickford,
  • Right on to Marlene Dr,
  • Left on to Hagle.
  • You can turn left onto Alicia Place for parking at the rear of the school or continue down Hagle until you see the school on the left.

Another option ….

  • Take Sooke Rd
  • Left on Kelly Rd after Dairy Queen,
  • Right on to Pickford,
  • Right on to Marlene Dr,
  • Left on to Hagle.
  • You can turn left onto Alicia Place for parking at the rear of the school or continue down Hagle until you see the school on the left.

Instructions to Tsawout Gym:

Assuming you are coming out the Pat Bay Highway from town…..

  • Right on Mount Newton X Road (McDonalds/Waddling Dog)
  • Continue straight at 3-way Stop at Lochside
  • Follow road which curves to the right and is now Stautw Rd.
  • You will see the Tsawout building on the right
  • Right on Tetayut and there is a parking lot around the building.
