Well the weekend is over and our Midget A team had what was considered to be a successful weekend.
News flash, Saanich Midget A's are playing for a provincial medal and the big dogs, JDF & Coquitlam, are out! I don't think that at the beginning of the season, that if anyone was to say that our Midget A team would be playing for a medal at the provincials and that the number 1 seeds would be watching, that anyone would've taken you seriously.
Way to go team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There was alot of drama at the provincials for our team, with giving away two third period leads during round robin play to get a loss and tie as a result and then in the playoffs to have our goalie get hit in the head with a rocket of a shot giving him a concussion and finishing the game with Ryan M in goal, doing a great job to say the least. Then finishing playing Langley for the Bronze medal and coming up short.
A big congradulations to the team for finishing 4th in the province this year. Great job coaches and team!!
