The Saanich Lacrosse Executive will be holding a planning session in early January to identify the coaching assignments for all teams from Mini-Tyke to Midget. The executive is encouraging all individuals who are interested in coaching to submit their name. This includes head coaches, assistant coaches and door people.

The association runs completely on volunteers and each year the executive struggles to find coaches for all teams. To address this, the executive is committed to supporting coaches through mentoring and will be holding coaches sessions during late January and early February to build the capacity of all coaches. The executive also seeks to build coaching groups for each team so that one person is not left on the floor with 15 players flying around (especially at the younger levels).

If you have the time and energy to give, this is a valuable experience for both coaches and the players they develop.
