Reminder: Coaching Evaluations for the 2018 season are now open on Team Pages.
The 2018 Box Lacrosse Season had come to an end. Thank you for all our parents for supporting your players in their season this year. These players would not be able to have such a successful season if it was not for your commitment to getting them to and from practices, games, tournaments and other events.
We ask that you take the time to complete a coaching evaluation for your player’s coach this year. The information provided will be held in confidence. This evaluation is important for us to see how the season has gone for players and parents and will help us to make informed decision next year.
Thank you again for being part of Saanich Lacrosse for the 2018 Season!!
We look forward to seeing you next year.https://teampages.com/forms/18642-Coach-Evaluation-Form-2018
Great weather and an excellent turn out helped make our annual 3 on 3 Tournament, held this past weekend, a huge success. With the exception of one team that was playing in another tournament, every Saanich team participated in this year’s event – including our Midget Female Team! Everyone had a great time!
A very big thanks to our tournament sponsor, Thrifty Foods, who provided the concession – food, equipment, and cooks – with all proceeds going to Saanich Lacrosse! Store Managers from the Tuscany, Cloverdale, Quadra-McKenzie, and Hillside Thrifty stores donated their time to help this weekend – THANK YOU!
Thanks to James Mace and CanPro, who provide the boards for our half court set-up. And thanks to Aidan Conway for providing the music this weekend.
Thanks to our volunteers from Reynolds High School, who do a great job of managing the concession and serving up the great food. Thank you to Kirby’s Source for Sports for their continued support to Saanich Lacrosse and the 3 On 3 prize tables.
Finally, a special thanks to Darryll Walmsley and all of the parents and players who helped out with the set-up and take-down.
Enjoy the rest of your season!

2018 Saanich Tigers / Thrifty Foods
3 On 3 Tournament
May 5 – 6, 2018
The annual Saanich Tigers / Thrifty Foods 3 On 3 Tournament is a great way to kick off the 2018 season! This 2-day in-house tournament is open to all registered Saanich players and focuses on having fun. Teams consist of 4 or 5 players and play a round robin style format against other teams within their division. There are no goalies and no contact. Players only need their helmets, gloves, mouth guards and sticks. All games are monitored by certified referees. Teams are encouraged to be creative in deciding on team names and jerseys.
Again this year:
• Skills Competition – open to all players, this will consist of a short, timed obstacle course testing shooting and passing skills. Trophies will be awarded for the top score in each division.
• Best Jersey – prizes will be awarded to the team with the best jerseys in each division – use your imagination!
The cost of registration is $20/player for Novice, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget, and $10/player for Mini-Tyke and Tyke. And every player gets a prize!! Contact your team manager or Kevin Rieberger (email@example.com) to register your team! Please register by April 23.
Finally, a huge thanks to our Tournament Sponsor, Thrifty Foods, for their generous donation and support to the event, and Kirby’s Source for Sports for their ongoing support.
Volunteers are needed for the Friday evening set-up and Sunday afternoon take-down. Please contact Kevin Rieberger (firstname.lastname@example.org) to sign up as a volunteer.
