News and Announcements
The last weekend was a Tigers Tournament Weekend.
We had both Mini-Tyke and all 3 Tyke Teams participate in the Pen Lax Annual Father’s Day Tournament. The players had a great time, playing hard and celebrating equally as hard.
Novice 3 played in the VELA Wind It Up Tournament placing 3rd after a tight bronze medal game.
Both Pee Wee teams participated in the JDF Captain Cook Tournament. Pee Wee B made it to the bronze medal game but fell just short to Peninsula. The Pee Wee A team beat VELA in a close game to win gold. The Pee Wee A Team has won gold in all three tournaments they have entered this season.
Most importantly, all Saanich players, coaches, parents and fans demonstrated the values of respect and sportsmanship during the week.
Congratulations to all on a great weekend.

Saanich Tigers Players, Parents, Coaches and Supporters,
We are nearing the end of the season and heading into playdowns. All of our competitive division teams have declared for provincials and will be working hard for a spot in playdowns with the goal of securing a berth in the provincials.
The season has so far been one of sportsmanship and athleticism. The final month can be very competitive and can invoke strong emotions. The Saanich Lacrosse Association wants to continue our strong tradition of demonstrating sportsmanship and the values of lacrosse.
A quote by Harry Sheehy, a famous NCAA coach is a good reminder of what this means for all of us.
It is your response to winning and losing that makes you a winner or a loser. ” Harry Sheehy
The Saanich Lacrosse Executive is committed to ensuring all players, parents, coaches and supporters are representing the values and adhering to the Code of Conduct of the association during this exciting time of the season. A reminder that we are all accountable for our actions and if a situation arises the best method of de-escalating the situation is to walk away and speak with a member of the team staff or an executive member for advice on the next steps.
The Midget A’s joined in at the end of the Novice 3 practice for a bit of fun
